Shikhar Dhawan after playing some delectable shots, lobbed one from Zaheer into the hands of Vettori and DC are 21/1 !
Yamaha will be sponsoring DC !
Bharat Chipli played a great cameo, 63 off 31 balls. It seems he is another Valthaty. It is heartening to see unheralded young Indians shining.
Chipli's 63 off 31 balls was simply superb. 175/5 is a good score, but chasable. Chipli hit 5 fours and three sixes.
Zaheer showed why he is the best Indian bowler with bowling figures of 3/32. Duminy played superbly, hitting a six and two fours, till he was snapped at the fence by one of the best Indian fielders, Virat Kohli.
176 to chase and let us see whether the star studded RCB can do it !
Ishant Sharma, bowling at his best, sent back Dilshan. A superb delivery took the edge of Dilshan's bat and Sanga behind the stumps did the rest. Zaheer was sent as a sort of night watchman and Dale Steyn shattered his stumps with a fast full toss ! RCB 20/2 !
It was heartening to see Ishant Sharma bowl at 150 and 148 kph.
Then Gony struck twice, removing Mayank Agarwal and Bram Villiers ( for a duck ). RCB 4/29 !
S Tiwari also fell to Amit Mishra and it was 5/56 !
Then a glorious partnership between Kohli and Pujara took the score to 118, when Pujara holed out to Steyn. The next ball Van der Warth edged to Sanga and it was 7/118.
In a blistering knock of 71, Kohli showed why is India's No 4. He hit three sixes and was going strong when a slower ball from Gony shattered his stumps ! RCB 130/8 ! Kohli would have done a Valthaty, if not for that slower ball ! Well played, young man !
Gonu who came in for Prajnan Ojha took 3/30 and now RCB needs 43 off 11 balls !
Dale Steyn bowling at 150 kph, took 3/20. Steyn, Sharma and Gony - this trio is the best pace attack in the IPL. DC has Ojha and Mishra, took leading wicket takers in the IPL 2010.
DC win by 44 runs !
