Badrinath and Rohit come in because of their splendid performances in the IPL. So also Vinay Kumar, Amit Mishra and Ishant Sharma. Parthiv Patel and W Saha seems to be surprise selections, as other wicket keeper batsmen like Ambati Rayudu, Dinesh Karthik etc are there for selection.

Gambhir as the captain is the right choice. The rest are all automatic selections, like Yuvraj and Kohli.

We are sorry for Sreeshant. Astrologically his Jupiter has moved to the adverse Sixth House and that explains why he missed selection.
