Mumbai lose again
Mumbai seems to be on a losing streak, and could not chase the 136 run targer set by DC.
The Chargers were successful in defending a score of 135/6 and restricted mighty Mumbai to 129/8.
The ultimate over bowled by Munaf changed the complexion of the match. The Chargers were struggling at 112/6 and then Munaf began the last over. Dhawan hit him for a six and then Amit Mishra hit Munaf for four consecutive fours. From 112/6, DC had gone to 135/6, a gain of 23 runs in the last over ! This led to a verbal exchange between Munaf and Mishra. The umpire had to intervene to stop the verbal duel. One word leading to others, which in their turn led to several more.
On a glorious spinning track, the MI batsmen, including Sachin, could only plod and scratch. They had to play 60 dot balls !
Duminy got Blizzard cheaply and Ishant Sharma shot out Rayudu (2) and Rohit Sharma ( 4), to make Mumbai 25/3. To their detriment, Mumbai saw that stroke making was difficult on that track.
Unknown pacer, Rajan removed Pollard, T Suman and Tendulkar and took three for 27. Bajji, 17 not out, tried his best, but it was an uphill task for Mumbai !
Earlier Sohal ( 20 in 22 balls ) and Sanga (27 in 28 bals ) added 39 runs for the second wicket, but DC lost three wickets and could not build a great score.
Dhawan and Dan Christian did play well, but it was the four fours that Mishra hit that brought home the bacon for DC.
