In trying to reverse sweep, Sunny Sohail hits his own wicket and is out for 56 !That is inexperience, nothing else, but what a great innings !


Chennai scored 165 and Deccan chased 166. The Bulls were off to an explosive start with Sunny Sohal hitting the CSK bowlers to all parts of the field. A devastating 56 with six fours and four sixes held the stadium spellbound. Mind you, it was off just 30 balls ! The Bulls raced to 71 for no loss, off just 6.4 overs, thanks to the big hittting Sohal.

Dhoni, known for his brilliant captaincy and bowling changes, created havoc in the opposition as Albie Morke ( 3/38 ), Doug Bollinger ( 2/26 ) and Ashwin ( 0/23) bowled well in the death overs. With this win, CSK moved to the fourth place in the IPL Table.

Sohal scored the fastest fifty in IPL 2011, off just 24 deliveries, with a flat batted six off Ashwin. Unorthodox in approach, he hung his bat and got a four but fell to the ground in the process !

Short stuff deterred him not, as he made room moving towards leg stump to blast Morkel. The pace of his innings can be judged from the fact that his senior partner, Shikhar Dhawan, could not reach double figures, when Sohal had blasted 50 ! Dhawan tried to hit Jakati and holed out. Chipli was out to Morkel and Sohal also got out and then DC were in the doldrums.

Sanga could only mkae 15 He was bowled middle stump by Bollinger. It was more or less curtains for DC !

Earlier Albie Morkel hit three consecutive sixes off Ishant and starred with a brilliant all round performance. A superb half century by Raina saw Chennai at a comortable 165/5. In the last five overs, CSK smashed 69 runs, with Raina as the blaster.

CSK won the toss and batted. Vijay and Hussey made a quiet start but Prajnan Ojha ( 3/26) dismissed Vijay.Ojha angled on into Vijay, who was scratching on the slow pitch so far and this ended his misery. 'Mr Dependable' was ever dependable and was about to score another fifty when a long hop from Harmeet was hit by him into the throat of Ishant !

Dhoni lofted one into the stands and then got out at 21, trying to accelerate the rate ! Raina scored his fifty off just 31 balls and with Dhoni added 58 runs in 5.2 overs and he went the way of Dhoni, holing out in the deep !
