Cricket turning into a mind game ?

My son, Sreejith Govind, writes this from Gujarat.

"Yes, this world cup has generated passion. But has not seen enough of quality cricket.

Where is the tear-away fast bowler? Steyn, Lee, Tait & Roach were humbled.
Zaheer, Gul and Southee have stood out, as they have tried to bowl within the stumps.
The fast bowler is now an endangered breed.

Another trend is the effective slingy action of Malinga and Wahab Riaz.
Batsmen are tentative against balls released from above the off-stump.
Maybe, this is why Munaf is effective.

Wickets have not fallen to authentic spin.

Harbhajan's wickets have all been off loose deliveries (save Akmal's wicket)
Vettori was taken to the cleaners. So were Graeme Swann & Piyush Chawla.

Cricket is losing its purity.

But on the other hand, it is developing more into a mind game.
Zaheer, Afridi, Southee, Yuvraj & others have all been deceptive."
