If India win today, they will have to face Aussies. If India lose, then they will have to face SL!
There was a guy in Wodehouse who was asked by his prospective mother-in-law. " What will you do if you are confronted by a charging rhinocerus ?' To which he replied, " It is highly unlikely that I will move in such social circles as charging rhinoceri". He was asked again " What will you do if you are confronted by a puma on one hand and a python on the other ?" He replied " I will be embarassed where to look" ! Similarly India will be embarassed where to look, the mighty Lion ( SL ) on the one hand and the formidable Kangaroo ( Aus ) on the other ! Who is lesser Evil ? Nobody knows !
Meanwhile, Arun Lal has opined that both Raina and Ashwin should play today. It seems the Chennai pitch is tailor made for India. The ball will turn and it will be a spinners paradise ! If we play Ashwin, then India will be playing two offies and we have to understand that Eng were successful in experimenting with two offies ! Ashwin can also bowl in the Powerplay against Gayle. The best option for India will be to play two spinners and two seamers. Raina, being a member of the Chennai Super Kings, can shine on the Chepauk ground ! If Kohli can play a long innings, it will be good for the team. Giving rest to Pathan is not a bad idea. If Raina comes at No 7, he can attack Benn and Bishoo.
