Yuvraj set the records on fire.

Let us see what he has done.

He became the first player in the WC to score a half century and take five wickets. This five for is his best wicket haul.

He became the first left arm spinner to take five wickets in a WC match.

With his bowling and batting, Yuvraj saved India. Now he is a world class all rounder, like Shahid Afridi of Pak.

It was Yuvraj who brought the Irish run rate down. And he saved Indian batting, when the top order failed to deliver. It was not a swashbuckling innings like Pathan, but a responsible sedate knock, depending on the situation. It was a great knock, showing steely determination. A knock warranted by the situation !

He became the fourth Indian bowler to take five wickets in a WC, after V Prasad, Robin Singh and Nehra.

Zaheer has inflicted seven ducks on batsmen in WCs. He equalled Srinath's record. The WC record is 15 ducks, by that legend McGrath !

Out of 13 occasions, this is the 12th time India has beaten an Associate nation. The only loss was to SL in 1979 WC ! ( India were awful in 79)!

Yuvraj admitted that his mission is to bat till the end of the 50 overs and did just that. With Sehwag and Sachin wanting to bat the 50 overs entire, there may not be much time for the other batsmen !
